Brentford have been ordered to pay £325,000 compensation to Walsall for frontman Will Grigg.

The Bees signed the Northern Ireland international on a three-year deal this summer after his contract at the Saddlers expired.

The clubs failed to agree a fee for the 22-year-old's services, with the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC) ruling Brentford must cough up £325k at a tribunal hearing today.

They must also pay £30k for every 20 competitive appearances up to a maximum of 100, as well as £50k if they reach the Championship and a further £250k if they are promoted to the Premier League.

Walsall also have a 20 per cent sell-on if Grigg is sold.
