Mark Warburton reckons self belief is pumping through his Brentford side following their third Championship win on the spin at Millwall today.

An Andre Gray brace put the Bees two goals ahead early in the second half at the New Den before the hosts hit back with the sucker punch of two goals in as many minutes.

But rather than let their heads drop, the visitors rallied once more and took all three points back across London thanks to Danny Shittu's own goal, moving into the top six as a result.

Bees boss Warburton said: “We perhaps lacked a bit of self belief at the start of the season and questioned whether we can handle it at this level, but we have now shown that we can.

“We have made Griffin Park a fortress, which you have to at this level, but we are now starting to get our rewards on the road now too.

“It would be easy to say we did the business today and dish out the high fives, but we had a bad five minutes which could have been avoided if we had taken care of the football. However, we showed great character to come back from that.

“This league is so tight that three points can take you into the play-off places while losing three can take you into the relegation places, and by winning today we have taken a few off the teams above us.”
