Brentford new boy Kamo Mokotjo is fired up for his first taste of a west London derby when the Bees travel to QPR on Tuesday night.

The South African has played in derby games in Holland, lining up for Feyenoord against Ajax for instance.

And he is well aware of the importance the fixture has to the club's supporters.

“I've heard it's huge. We are up for that task as we're up for all games. We're working on the same things and I'm looking forward to that game,” Mokotjo said.

“I played for Feyenoord against Ajax so I have experience of it and those games but it's different here. Everything is new to me and I'm doing my best to adapt as quickly as possible.

“Those are the type of games that will get me adapting quicker to games. Hopefully, we can get the team on a flow as soon as possible.”

Mokotjo, though, doesn't believe a change of competition will help the Bees as, no matter what they're playing in, they will be focusing on exactly the same areas.

He added: “It doesn't really help. We're working on the same things and things will start flowing soon.”
