Alan Judge's strength, touch and manipulation of the football has already impressed Brentford new boy Maxime Colin.

The Frenchman admires the fact that, despite the Irishman's small stature, he is able to use his strength and power to good effect.

The former Anderlecht man has also been grateful to fellow Frenchmen Toumani Diagouraga and Yoann Barbet for helping him settle in west London quickly, although he wants to better his on-pitch relationship with Lasse Vibe.

He said: “I really like Alan Judge. He's little but he feels the football and he has a really good kick, good cross.

“He's a great football player. Sometimes I think it'll be difficult because the Championship is a strong league.

“He never gives up. He gives a lot of strength and power. He's not afraid. I really appreciate training with him.

“I need to build relationship with Lasse to become dangerous going forward. The French players, Toums and Barbet, are already here and they put you in a good mood.”

Colin also believes the squad are keen to prove themselves in training and improve as players each day.

He added: “I feel like all players want to prove themselves so it's hard training with a lot of intensity. They want to be better every day.

“I feel the team want to grow up and want to be better every day. I feel good after we lost Andre so we need to find ways to score goals. I hope we will find a solution but I trust my team.”
