Lewis Macleod is itching to be involved with the Brentford first team again and has targeted a place in the squad at Cardiff.
The Scot has played in two B team fixtures after a year out after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the 2-0 win over QPR.
And he is looking forward to returning to first team action but knows his team-mates will do everything they can to keep him out of the side.
He told the club's official website: "I feel good, I feel as good as I can be. Hopefully I can get some minutes for the first team now and I'm looking forward to that.
"Hopefully I can be in contention for the squad going to Cardiff. We've got a really good squad and we're playing really well so we just need to keep doing what we are doing."
Macleod scored in the 3-1 win over Reading U23 for Brentford B and he paid tribute to the quality of Justin Shaibu's delivery.
He added: "It was just good play. I called Justin (Shaibu) to pull it back and it was a great pass, that made it an easy finish for me."
