Brentford midfielder Marcos Tebar has been made available for loan in order to gain match fitness.

The Spaniard has not played for the Bees since the 2-0 win over Leeds in September after struggling with injury and the form of others.

And Mark Warburton would give the green light to a temporary switch, like he did with Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris who joined Wycombe last week.

The Brentford boss said: “We've discussed it. He's played 30 games in La Liga last year but he hasn't played much this year.

“Teams will wonder if he's match fit and if he's going to have an impact. It's a chicken and egg situation.

“It's about finding the right club and making sure it suits the players. Players can get on the ball and develop their match fitness.”

Recall option: Sam Saunders

Saunders and Yennaris can be recalled at any time and Warburton is hoping they will be able to play a part in the run-in if they return to form.

He added: “We have to get them out. You can never replicate a match situation. They have minutes under their belt. If they can impact the squad and are match fit it's important for us.”
