Luke Daniels may be a goalkeeper first and foremost but he has also been studying for a physiotherapy degree.
The Brentford summer signing has made three appearances in cup competitions this season after making the move down from Scunthorpe.
And the move led to him taking a break from his studies in physiotherapy, which former team-mate Maxime Colin had also studied.
“I was in the middle of a degree in Manchester. It was a physio degree which I was two years into. I've taken a break from that,” Daniels said.
“I found it quite easy. It gets your mind on something different as you can get stuck watching rubbish daytime TV which doesn't help anybody. It's nice to have something else to think about.”
Daniels feels that it makes conversations with the medical team easier as he has that knowledge of how to look after his body.
He added: “It makes it a lot easier when physios are talking to you. It does give you a good understanding of how things work.”
