Brentford wing wizard Jota has been shortlisted for the PFA fans player of the month for February.

The silky Spaniard had a magnificent February, scoring five goals, including a hat-trick against Rotherham and setting up a further three more.

Jota has carried on his fine form into March and picked up a goal and assist in Brentford's 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest and his display at The City Ground saw him applauded off by the home supporters.

Captain Harlee Dean has been delighted with his form and called for the winger to keep it up for the rest of the season.

The skipper said: “His record speaks for itself. He's loved here. As long as he keeps playing like that I'll be happy with him as well.”

Tom Cairney

He rivals Cardiff forward Kenneth Zohore, Fulham's Tom Cairney, Brighton striker Tomer Hemed, Norwich striker Cameron Jerome and Preston North End's Aiden McGeady for the gong.

You can vote for who wins the award on the Sky Sports website. Voting will close at 7pm tonight with the winner announced at 10am on Thursday.
