Brentford favourite Jota admits he feeds off the Bees' supporters love for him.

The Spaniard made his return from a year long loan spell at Eibar when he came off the bench against Eastleigh to a rapturous ovation.

And Jota will treasure that moment for the rest of his life and is grateful for the way Brentford fans regard him.

He said: “I feel the relationship with the supporters and I am very grateful for their love to me and I think every game I try and play as best as I can for the supporters.

“That day, I remember it always as when I came back it was a great day.

Jota makes it 1-0

“Having the confidence of the supporters is good but I play in the same way every week. If the supporters are happy with me, it's better.”

Jota has been better than ever since he returned from his time in Spain but he can't put his finger on why that may be.

The Spaniard added: “I don't know. I try to play as well as I can. I've not played much this year but I've always learned.

“I think you're always learning in football and, with time, you're better as you're training more and have more experience. I don't know if I'm better now or last year.”
