Brentford fans have, in the main fallen in love with their new home kit and it has left some Sunderland supporters jealous.

The Bees produced a smart effort for this season's red and white striped effort, with red, this time, being more prominent than the white.

Brentford supporters have, by and large, been pleased with the design and Black Cats fans, who are unhappy with the thin stripes on their kit, have reacted with jealousy.

Harlee Dean, Nico Yennaris, Sergi Canos, Jota and Dan Bentley model the new kits

For Bees head coach Dean Smith, he believes the designs have been well thought out, while remaining traditional.

He said: I like it. We haven't gone away from the tradition. It's well thought out and looks really smart; both the home and away kits.

Self-confessed kit obsessive Nick Bruzon wrote on his blog: "The new shirts are here. Finally. Brentford fans have now learned what we’ll be wearing for the forthcoming season and, in the eyes of the kit nerd, we’ve hit the jackpot. What a pair of stone cold stunners. There’s a new sponsor and a goalkeeper’s shirt that catapults Daniel Bentley straight into Fyfees territory."

Fintan Murray on our Facebook page added: “Love them, especially the green away kit! #belfastbee”

Brentford, and Sunderland, fans have also reacted to the new shirts on social media. Below is a collection of comments.
