Brentford are working at adding another home pre-season friendly for July 29 and it will, most likely, be against continental opposition.

The Bees have confirmed games against Aldershot (July 7), Oxford (July 19) Southampton (July 22) MK Dons (July 25) already ahead of the new campaign.

With the opening weekend of the Championship taking place the weekend of August 4, there is another chance to put some final preparations in on July 29.

And, with three away games already arranged for the summer, the club would like their final pre-season fixture to be at Griffin Park in preparation for the big kick-off.

Chief executive Mark Devlin revealed: “We've got the pre-season friendly on the 22nd and we're working hard to secure, very probably, a foreign side for a home game on July 29.”

Brentford have previously played Kaiserslautern, Osasuna and Nice in previous pre-season fixtures at Griffin Park.

The Championship fixtures will be released on June 21 at 9am.
