Yoann Barbet isn't bothered if Brentford don't manage to destroy Derby County again tomorrow – so long as they take the three points.

The Bees sent the Rams back up the M1 with their tails between their legs on Good Friday, with a brace apiece from Lase Vibe and Jota earning Dean Smith's men a 4-0 win.

Barbet played the full 90 minutes in that game and will be hoping to retain his place tomorrow after coming on as a sub at Bolton and sparking Brentford's win with the opening goal.

“I have good memories of the 4-0 win over Derby,” said Barbet. “I hope we can produce the same performance, but the three points is most important. We don't care if it's 1-0 of 4-0.

“I think today (Bolton) paid for what we've done since the start of the season. We need the luck to stay with us, after five minutes they could have scored and they hit the post.”

Barbet's brilliant free kick was followed by equally impressive efforts from Nico Yennaris and Ollie Watkins, as the Bees held their very own version of Goal of the Day competition.

“There'll be a bit of an 'argument' on the coach home,” said Barbet. “They were really great goals. I don't know if he (Yennaris) could put the ball more in the top corner. It was a really great goal.

“We could score more and we were stronger in the box. We did really well and deserved the three points.”

The win meant a first three points of the season for Brentford, but just like team-mate Yennaris said, Barbet insists there was no panicking in the Bees ranks.

“It's difficult because you're frustrated but you're not panicking,” he added. “You feel it would turn around. It's been a long eight games, but today has shown what we've done since the start of the season.

“We weren't panicking because we were playing well and we've not played a team who were better than us in the league. Today we showed again we were the best team and got the three points.”
