Brentford will be working to raise their intensity levels again after they were lacking against Fulham.
The Irishman admitted that Brentford were under-par during the past run of games and will be getting their heads down in order to prepare for the trip to Ewood Park.
“We'll get our heads down and get the intensity levels we're capable of back,” Egan said.
“We've not lived up to our own expectations of ourselves. We're not winning games we feel we should be winning at home.
“We're disappointed with the past month. We need to get our heads down and get ready to Blackburn.”
He added: “I'm going to chill out with the weekend, train hard and get ready for the next games.”
The return to action at Ewood Park marks the start of a long run of fixtures for the Bees and Egan knows the key to success will be recovering well in the interim.
He added: “We'll have to recover well after games, eat the right foods and get ready for the next game. It's going to be a long slog so hopefully we can kick on and have a good few months.”
