Nico Yennaris may yet still have a future at Brentford as Marinus Dijkhuizen plans to talk to him regarding where his best position is.
Critics of the former Arsenal youngster say he's 'jack of all trades, master of none' but he has clearly impressed his new boss with his versatility.
Against Stoke on Saturday, Yennaris was in the midfield role before moving to right back against Luton on Tuesday.
The Bees boss said: “He played in the midfield and also at right back. I want to talk with him and find the best plan for him.
“He can play in both positions which is always good. We don't have many options at right back so it's good. We'll speak to him.”
Brentford finish their pre-season campaign with a trip to Premier League new boys Norwich on Saturday.
