Harlee Dean will not change his game in order to avoid picking up a fifth yellow card and the suspension that comes with it.

The Bees defender was booked for the fourth time this season and his third in three games against Wigan.

Ryan Woods' superb form didn't stop him from taking a place on the bench after his ban for five yellow cards. Maxime Colin is also one booking away from a suspension.

The 25-year-old is aware of the quality of potential replacements and, while he will do his utmost to avoid a suspension, he won't be changing his style of play.

Dean said: “I don't think so. I don't think it was a yellow. I won the ball and he fell on the floor. Football these days is the way it is.

“Woodsy has been banned and I can't remember him making a bad tackle. It's the way it is. I'm going to try not to get to get booked but if it happens it happens.”

Dean will be taking advantage of the international break to rest his aching body after taking a few knocks during September.

He added: “I've got a few knocks so it's nice to have a few days off. I had an injection on Monday.

“Most players have knocks and things you play through. These weeks will help and it'll be nice to regenerate.”
