Brentford's squad have bought into new head coach Dean Smith's philosophy, according to midfielder Toumani Diagouraga.

Smith joined the club from Walsall at the end of November and has overseen two wins, two draws and a defeat.

And Diagouraga has been enjoying working with his new head coach and hopes that continues when Brentford travel to Reading tomorrow.

“He's tweaked a few things to his way and we're mixing the two together. It's working nicely. Hopefully that can continue,” he said.

“The boys are buying into Dean Smith's philosophy. We'll have a recovery session and get ready for the game on Monday.”

Adapting methods: Dean Smith

Diagouraga believes Brentford deserved more in their 0-0 draw with Brighton.

The Bees dominated proceedings for most of the 90 minutes but were unable to break the Seagulls down.

But, for the first time in 60 games, the Bees ended up playing out a goalless draw, although the Frenchman felt they would have been worthy winners.

I thought we deserved a bit more over the 90 minutes but we got the point. It's nice to keep a clean sheet so if we can't win, make sure we keep a clean sheet.
