Dean Smith was unhappy with the quality of Brentford's delivery from set pieces during the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff.
The Bees had a number of corners and free kicks in and around the penalty area during the contest.
But, apart from where Yoann Barbet's forced a great save from Alan McGregor, the quality of delivery from the dead ball situations lacked quality, with may of them being overhit.
The epitome of that was in second half stoppage time and Jota's corner sailed over the box and out for a Cardiff throw and that turned out to be the Bees' last chance.
Smith said: “Jota has usually got a good delivery. There was a great delivery in the first half where McGregor made an unbelievable save from Yoann.
“Apart from that, we had a routine that we worked on the first corner where Jota gets the shot in but apart from that some of them were overhit or the quality wasn't quite there today.”
Brentford have a chance to put things right when they host Derby County on Good Friday.
