Dean Smith is in a confident mood going into Brentford's game at Nottingham Forest.

The Bees are currently on a three match unbeaten run, including an impressive 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

They drew 1-1 at Ipswich Town on Saturday in a game that can fairly be described as an end of season affair.

Smith, though, is not thinking about next season and is only focused on claiming three points at Forest.

He said: “The aim is just the next game. They come thick and fast in this league. We've played four games, three away from home.

“We've got Forest and then Huddersfield on Saturday. We then have a game in hand which we have to play against Wolves. We'll recover from Ipswich and get ready for Forest.”

Brentford have been in decent form since reverting from three centre backs to two, although the defence has been more leaky since then.

Despite conceding goals, the Bees have been exciting in front of goal and Smith insists his squad is confident.

He added: “The players, to be fair, have got a lot of confidence and belief in themselves. Although a couple of results haven't gone our way, we feel our performances have been very good.

“At Reading, a couple of decisions went against us. We had a good performance at Sheffield Wednesday but we felt it could be better.

“We had a good result last week but we felt that performance should have been better. Ipswich was a better performance and we've had some good results of late.”
