It must be hard to find fault in a team who have won 12 out of their last 13 league games, but Mark Warburton has warned his Brentford troops not to be wasteful in front of goal.

The Bees made it five win out of five since Warburton took over with a 3-1 win at promotion rivals Peterborough today, which extended their lead at the top of League One to three points.

It was a dominant performance, but the Bees, who not so many years ago lost 7-0 at London Road, could easily have put seven past their hosts if not for some wasteful finishing.

Adam Forshaw missed a penalty and Clayton Donaldson hit the post from a few yards out, while both Stuart Dallas and Toumani Diagouraga fluffed their lines when one on one with Posh keeper Bobby Olejnik.

Warburton said: “It is only a small criticism, but we should have taken more of our chances. But in those conditions if was a testament to us that we created that many chances.

“That performance was also a testament to the character and ability of our players. A lot is said about their ability, but not so much about their work rate, which is top drawer too.

“That's 15 points now out of 15 now, which wasn't our target, but we didn't expect to lose any games. That's not being arrogant – we just don't expect to lose to anybody.”
