Mark Warburton has been nominated for the League One manager of the month award for March.

The Brentford boss saw his side take 14 points from seven games during the hectic period, including a vital 1-0 win at Leyton Orient to tip the automatic promotion race in their favour.

Warburton won the prize in December during his first month in charge, while Sam Saunders scooped the player's gong.

The Bees chief faces competition from Bristol City's Steve Cotterill, Kenny Jackett (Wolves) and Rotherham United's Steve Evans, whose team beat Brentford 3-0 last week.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
