Dean Smith is unsure of the extent of Henrik Dalsgaard's injury after he had to be taken off in Brentford's 2-0 win over Birmingham.

The Dane was forced off midway through the second half with Yoann Barbet coming on and moving to left back as Josh Clarke switched to the right.

But Smith is hopeful that the full back will be fit to face Leeds on Saturday.

The head coach said: “I'm not sure. It's a heel injury but I hope it's more contact. I'm hopeful for him against Leeds.”

Nico Yennaris was absent from the squad after he was knocked unconscious at Preston on Saturday and Smith is hopeful that he can play a part against the Yorkshire side.

He added: “There's a number of tests that he has to go and get ticks for. He's done ball work today and he'll join the rest of the lads tomorrow.

“If he gets the ticks in the procedure in coming back from the unconscious spell then he'll be okay for Saturday.”
