Marinus Dijkhuizen is digging his heels in over the prospective sale of Andre Gray to Hull.

The Tigers are looking to raid Brentford , not just for their striker, but for full back Moses Odubajo.

There is a release clause in the former Orient man's contract, meaning the club have no option but to let him talk to the Humberside club.

Dijkhuizen said: “There is interest from Hull City (in both players). Mo has a clause in his contract. We can't stop him. There is time for other clubs to make a bid. He is not in the squad.”

Brentford want £7million for their striker and Dijkhuizen remains determined to play Gray, providing he is still at the club.

Determined: Dijkhuizen refusing to let Gray go without a fight

The Bees boss explained: “Andre has no clause. We want to keep him. Everybody is for sale but at the right price for Brentford.

“He's a good player and a big striker and can improve. He came from Luton and he'll be much better than he was. We'll see. I hope he is in my squad for the weekend.”

The club will be looking to sign reinforcements, were the pair to leave and Dijkhuizen is looking to secure deals.

He added: “We are prepared. There is a list and I have to watch other players. The deadline is September 1 and a lot happens over here. Some clubs are starting the buying. It's a different world for me.”
