Lasse Vibe hopes to return to Brentford from Denmark duty in the same form as last season.

The Dane went into last season's March international break without finding the net in 763 minutes but he ended it in the 49th minute at Nottingham Forest that sparked a run of seven goals in seven games towards the end of the season.

And the 30-year-old is hoping to repeat that feat once more when he returns from his time with De Rød-Hvide.

“I did well after the international break after March last year and if I get minutes I'll be happy and do my best for Denmark. Hopefully I'll score more goals this season,” he said.

Lasse Vibe celebrates his goal

“I'm very very honoured and proud to be going away. We've got some quality players going away.

“I'm happy to be able to play for my country and chosen as one of the 23. I feel very lucky and I'm looking forward to it.”

Vibe is looking forward to working with the likes of Christian Eriksen and the intelligent striker, who has an Masters degree, is looking to learn from his compatriot.

He added: “It is good to go away and see some good players and the way they set their standards. You learn from being around them.

“I'm never going to reach Christian's level – he's way too good and I'm way too old. It's always inspiring.”
