The perfectionist in Florian Jozefzoon is looking for further improvement after Brentford's 3-2 win at Preston.

The Bees showed superb character, backed by a vociferous away following, and took the lead three times, holding onto it at the third attempt.

And Jozefzoon was left wanting a more complete performance from himself and his team after extending their unbeaten run to seven games.

He said: “I'm happy with the performance but it can always be better. We were a bit sloppy in the second half but we were able to get in front.

“It was a heavy match. They were good and kept pressing us. We are happy with the three points.

He added: “The character was the most satisfying thing. If you saw against Middlesbrough where we didn't get the three points.

“We did at Preston and it's so good for the team as a group. We keep coming back but I think we can get less goals against. There are small things we have to get better at and concede less goals.”

Brentford have put their poor start to the season behind them but, for Jozefzoon, it is about what is in front of them.

He explained: “It's pretty satisfying but we're not finished yet. We have to keep doing what we do and keep believing in the group and keep a winning streak going on.”
