Sergi Canos paid tribute to the Brentford supporters and knows that the feeling of having everyone on the same page is better for the club.

The Spaniard's positive attitude, work rate and passion for the club have made him a fans' favourite at Griffin Park.

And while those in the stands feed of the forward's enthusiasm, he also thrives from feeling the love from the fans.

“If everyone is in the same boat then that's the most important thing,” Canos said.

“I try and have a good relationship with the fans. I'm really happy with how the fans and everyone treats me here and that makes my football a bit better.

“I think a happy player is a better player. If you're happy you always want to do more and do the best. For me, it's massive to be happy somewhere and to feel the love from the fans, it's amazing.”

Leicester and Huddersfield's successes were down, in part, to the bond between players and supporters and Canos knows that could help the Bees as they attempt to climb back into the top flight for the first time since the 1940s.

He added: “I think the supporters play a massive part in what we do. We can be a big surprise for the league but it won't be that big.

“We beat Leeds at home. Leeds were one of the sides going for the play-offs. We beat Reading at home as well. I don't think it'd be a surprise if we have a good year.”
