Brentford produced an insipid performance as their Carabao Cup adventure came to an abrupt end.

The Bees were second best throughout the evening and appeared to have given up after Mario Vrancic put the Canaries two goals up from the spot and from a free kick.

Josh Murphy made it 3-0 before Josh Clarke scored a stoppage time consolation.

“The second half performance was very insipid and very poor. Once the second goal went in I felt we stopped working as a team and worked more as individuals.

Josh Clarke celebrates his goal

“Everything that worked during pre-season and this season disappeared. It wasn't good enough but that's the first time I've said that this season.”
