Lasse Vibe thanked the 'fantastic' reaction Brentford fans had towards him after his key miss against Huddersfield.

The Dane knew he should have done better when he was presented with a clear sight of goal and the defence and goalkeeper stretched but mishit his shot high and wide.

However, the striker, who has been in good form of late, still received positive treatment from the supporters.

And he took to Twitter to express his frustration about the miss as well as gratitude to the fans for sticking by him.

He wrote: “Very frustrating not to help the team back in the game. The reaction from the fans to me was fantastic though bounce back Tuesday!!”

Frustration was the word of the day with captain Harlee Dean, who inadvertently deflected Rajiv van La Parra's cross-cum-shot into the net for Huddersfield's winner, sharing similar sentiments.

He wrote: “Frustrating afternoon for a variety of reasons. Quick turn around for Tuesday now. Thanks for the support.”

Wing wizard Jota felt Brentford deserved at least a point against the high-flying Terriers.

He added: “I think we deserved more , but now we have to think in Tuesday's game ! Thanks for the support !!”
