Hampton & Richmond Borough will come up against a former favourite when they take on Hendon at Harrow Borough tomorrow.

Tony Taggart spent the second half of last season at Beveree after joining from Havant & Waterlooville in January, but left for Ryman Premier rivals Hendon in the summer.

It was during his first spell at Havant, in 2007, that Taggart made national headlines for scoring the goal which knocked Notts County out of the FA Cup, in a run which finally ended in a defeat at Anfield.

Hampton boss Paul Barry said: “Taggs was excellent for us, and you know what to expect. He works hard, is comfortable on the ball and dangerous from set pieces.”

The Beavers, meanwhile, have ex-Hendon striker Belal Aite-Ouakrim in their ranks, who after a spell out with a groin injury, was back on the bench for Tuesday's win at Met Police and could feature at Earlsmead.

Hampton hammered Hendon 5-2 at Beveree back in October, and have only lost once in their last 10 games, while Hendon's 3-0 home defeat to Enfield on Monday night was their first in five games.

Defender Billy Jeffreys will miss the game as he waits news to see if he needs a knee operation which will end his season prematurely, while midfielders Tom Hickey and Bradley Simmonds face another month on the sidelines.

However, Karle Carder's suspension for his two yellow cards in the win at Met Police does not kick in until the game against Enfield on Tuesday week.
