Rui Fonte was a surprise inclusion on the bench for Fulham's game with Burton Albion last week.
The Portuguese star was expected to miss the trip to Burton, but was named on the bench.
And the 27-year-old could be in line for a start against promotion favourites Boro this weekend.
When asked if Fonte was ready to start, manager Slavisa Jokanovic said: "Yes, Rui is ready to play, he completed his work with us this week."
There was not such good news on the Tom Cairney front though.
The skipper has been missing with a knee injury since the end of August with a knee injury and Jokanovic does not know when he will return to first team action.
He added: "I don't have clear in which moment Tom Cairney is going to be available to start working with us, he's still outside the squad at the moment.
"We will see, it's a long period without him, I expect some solution soon, but at the moment I can't give any more information for him."
