Richard Lee came out retirement for Dunstable Town on Tuesday night for one game only, but the reason is a strange one.

Dunstable currently have Ipswich Town youngster Nick Hayes on loan, but he was unavailable for their game with Bishop's Stortford as a result of being called up to an England training squad.

To cover his absence, they would've had to have bring an emergency 28-day loan keeper in, but in doing that they wouldn't be able afford to extend Hayes' loan and keep him at the club.

Enter Richard Lee - the hero football deserves.

To safeguard the youngster's position at the club, the former Brentford man returned between the sticks for a one off game.

Unfortunately, Dunstable lost it 4-1, but by returning, Lee has helped a young star of the future continue getting games and gaining invaluable experience.
