A COUPLE of strikers will be top of David Howell's summer shopping list after it was revealed Miles Jones will be out until the New Year.
The versatile winger, who can also operate up front, injured knee ligaments for Harrow Borough in a match towards the end of the last Ryman Premier campaign, but the injury is worse than first feared.
A scan revealed the 21-year-old Barbados international has suffered a tear in the knee.
He is expected to be out of action for the rest of this year while he recuperates.
"I don't think we will be seeing him this side of Christmas," said manager Howell. "It's a big loss because I thought we would see the best of him this season with a good pre-season under his belt."
Gary Noel was Harrow's shining light in attack last season.
And with fellow striker Jonathan Constant intimating he may quit the club, not to mention the inconsistency of Dewayne Clarke, Howell will surely be on the lookout for players to boost his side's firepower.
Meanwhile, the Borough are seeking to play a friendly cricket match with a local club as part of a team-bonding exercise.
