Former Brentford defender Maxime Colin has said he's expected to be out for six to eight weeks after tearing his hamstring.

Colin lasted just a few minutes when facing his former club for Birmingham City, and while he's progressing well, he said he was "devastated" by the injury.

Speaking to the Blues' offcial website, he said: "It has been a week last Wednesday since I did it.

“I am doing quite well. I was on crutches, now I am on the bike in the gym doing work. The improvement is good.

“I had a scan and it came back six to eight weeks. So although it is difficult to say exactly, it is around this length of time. I was completely devastated by it.

“You do need to compare with what happened to Isaac Vassell. You need to think about that a little bit, because he had a bad injury.

“Obviously that is a longer one. But then you also think about the fact you have come to the Club, I did it against my former team and you want to do as well as you can – so I’m not happy.

“It is done, I have to complete my rehab the best I can to be back as soon as possible.”
