It was up there with the amazing right foot shot from distance against Fulham a couple of weeks ago and underlined his extra value in a midfield role.
“I'm really pleased with him because since I came I was talking with him, giving him confidence and he's given me a lot of things back,” said Rafa Benitez.
“When you see the goal against Fulham with the right foot and today with the left foot, he showed the qualities that he has.
“I think that he has a great character and he's a player that's growing and still he will be even better.”
