ONE OF the Premier League's banker home wins again stayed true to form as Fulham returned from Goodison Park empty-handed.

The Whites have lost on their previous 19 league visits to Everton and Steven Pienaar's 16th minute strike was enough to secure the points for David Moyes' Champions League chasers.

The South African tucked home a cross from Seamus Coleman to condemn Martin Jol's men to a fourth defeat in five, keeping them on 40 points and out of the top half of the table that the Dutchman wants.

Urby Emanuelson went close to stealing a draw for the Whites after Marouane Fellaini and Kevin Mirallas had missed good chances to effectively put the game to bed.

A disappointing afternoon for the west Londoners was compounded by injuries to Dimitar Berbatov and Kevin Richardson, who both had to be sustituted. Berbatov has a torn calf muscle.
