RAFA Benitez says one of the most enduring achievements he made at Chelsea was to win over some of the fans.

The Blues' interim manager departed Stamford Bridge for the last time, after guiding Chelsea to a third place finish and the Europa League trophy.

As that trophy was paraded, he was absent from the festivities: saying such things were for families.

Asked what he had achieved besides those things, Benitez said: “I think the majority of (the fans) we very positive in the end, and that is good. And I could have changed the opinion of some of them. We tried to do our best until the end.”

Chelsea fly to America tomorrow, with Benitez still at the helm for two friendlies against Manchester City – after which he will leave the club.
