Brentford will give late fitness tests to Harlee Dean, Adam Forshaw and Sam Saunders ahead of tomorrow night's home clash with Gillingham.

The trio all missed last weekend's draw with Walsall with knocks, but are touch and go to be fit to face the Gills at Griffin Park.

Bees boss Mark Warburton is hoping for the green light from the club's medical staff for the players to resume training this morning.

He said: "The lads are very close. We'll hear from the medical staff to see whether they can play.

"But we've got to be careful because we've got a hectic schedule coming up, so we don't want to rush them back."

Brentford take on a Gillingham side who have won two of their last three games to climb away from danger.

The Bees salvaged a point at Priestfield back in August thanks to Farid El Alagui's stoppage-time equaliser.

And Warburton expects another tough physical test from the Kent side, despite the change in manager, with Peter Taylor having taken over from Martin Allen in October.

"It will be another physical challenge for us," Warburton added. "They will be slightly different to last time, but I still expect them to be direct.

"We've got to make sure we deal with it and play our own game."
