Jonathan Douglas urged Brentford to do all they can to sign Alan Judge permanently after watching him shoot down Crewe with a stunning two goal display last Saturday.

Judge scored with two spectacular long range strikes at Gresty Road to make it three goals in six games since joining the Bees on loan from Blackburn Rovers last month.

Like Douglas, Judge came through the ranks at Ewood Park, and the midfielder would like nothing better than to see his fellow Irishman staying put at Griffin Park.

He said: “Alan's a good player and a good lad to have around too. He creates chances for others and scores them too, and as you can see, he can pull off the odd special one too.

“I've known him for a number of years now. He was a few years below me at Blackburn, but you could always tell he had something. It hasn't worked out for him there, and we're delighted to have him here.

“When you are playing like we are you tend to attract good players, and when we make the step up, he's the sort of player you want on board.”
