BRENTFORD stretched their unbeaten run to six games with a drab draw against Exeter .

The Bees struggled to get going early on, with Stuart Fleetwood forcing a good save out of Wojciech Szcsesny, while the on-loan Charlton striker should've done better moments later after a slip by Pim Balkestein.

But Brentford grew in confidence as the half wore on, Leon Legge headed straight at Paul Jones, while Lewis Grabban glanced an effort inches wide.

Andy Scott's side were denied what looked like a stonewall penalty after the break when Myles Weston was hauled down by Steve Tully.

Neither side created any clear-cut chances in the closing stages, although Exeter's Ryan Taylor had a shot blocked by Legge, while Balkestein headed over the bar for the hosts as the game ended goalless.
