Brentford midfielder George Saville missed the win against Swindon Town after a bug swept through the Bees squad.

The on-loan Chelsea midfielder was ordered to stay away after being the latest player to be struck down since Toumani Diagouraga was sent home from the team hotel before last weekend's win at Preston.

Brentford will also assess an injury to Will Grigg after the striker limped off in the first half with a groin problem.

Boss Mark Warburton said: "We've had a bug going around that affected George Saville - Scott Barron's had it and Toumani was sent home from Preston with it.

"Sam Saunders has also gone down. It appears to be a three or four day bug, but hopefully George is on the road to recovery."

Warburton hailed his side's character after they came from behind to beat Swindon thanks to Marcello Trotta's winner.

He added: "It's the first time in a while that we've been behind twice, certainly at home, but we responded and the character and commitment of the players carried us through."
