Combined Counties League Division One side Bedfont & Feltham have parted company with manager Dean Thomas.

The former Guildford City, Cove and Sandhurst Town boss only took charge at The Orchard in June and had guided the Yellows into the promotion places, as well as knocking Southern League side Leighton Town out of the FA Cup, in an impressive first few months of the season.

However, they went down to a shock 9-0 home defeat to AFC Croydon Athletic on Saturday, although the club insist this was not the reason for Thomas' departure.

Untimely depature: Bedfont & Feltham had been enjoying a successful season

A club statement read: "We're sorry to announce that manager Dean Thomas has left the club. Dean has a very heavy work schedule at the moment, and has not been able to give enough of his time to the club.

"In the interim, Louis Carder-Walcott, a former coach at Ryman League side Walton & Hersham will take the helm on a temporary basis until a full-time manager is appointed.

"We are sorry to lose Dean. He has been a big asset to the club and we wish him all the best, and hope he gets back into football in the near future."
