Barnet striker John Akinde will be hoping to heap more misery on former club Alfreton Town on Saturday.

Akinde comes up against his ex-team at the Hive where he will be looking to help the Bess to victory over a Town side who sit pointless at the bottom of the Conference Premier.

It was at Alfreton where the 25-year-old manage his most successful season having been loaned out to a number of clubs before finding his feet under boss Nicky Law.

He netted 19 times for The Reds last campaign before moving to the Bees for whom he has scored three times in six appearances this term.

Barnet sit top of the table having won five of their opening six matches winning three games on the bounce since their defeat to Lincoln on August 16.

Alfreton, meanwhile, have failed to pick up a single point this season conceding nine goals in their last two games and have yet to find the net on the road.

The last time these two sides met at The Hive in January, Barnet picked up a 1-0 win with Dani Lopez scoring the winner just before half-time.
