Barnet manager Martin Allen was left with plenty to think about on the long journey back from Carlisle United as the Bees lost out in a five-goal thriller.

Here’s what Mad Dog had to say to BBC London after watching his side come back from two goals down to draw level and still lose out at Brunton Park.

And in case you missed it, here's the full match report from Cumbria.

One-sided

Allen: “I don’t think I’ve ever been involved in such a one-sided, dominant performance.

“Nineteen years I’ve been doing this management business.

“The amount of chances we’ve had in that game, we were 2-0 down and should’ve been 6-0 up.

“It’s a good performance but we didn’t take our chances.

Set-piece threat

Allen: “The players and staff have worked on that.

“It’s important but we were good from open play too.

“We were the top scorers in our league last year.

“I’m sure if we keep our self belief and intensity then the points will come our way.

Lack of composure

Allen: “I think there has been a lack of composure at times and poor decision making.

“There was two stonewall penalties for us in the first half.

“The one on Elliott Johnson, I’ll never know how he hasn’t given that.

What next for Barnet?

Allen: “I’ve got to have a think about it now because we’re playing well and not winning.

“You have to have a look at things.

“They’re playing well and full of energy and we’re giving a good account of ourselves.”
