Barnet were left frustrated after a second consecutive league defeat at the hands of Wycombe Wanderers.

The Bees were meant to be celebrating as the Hive hosted it's first ever Football League match - but a brace by Garry Thompson saw the visitors steal the spoils.

And the hosts were left frustrated after consecutive league matches have seen them match their opponents for large portions but fail to hit the back of the net.

But Martin Allen believes it is only a matter of time until the Bees find their shooting boots in League Two - and when they do they will be a strong outfit.

"Ninety per cent of the game was played in their final third of the pitch. We had chances galore but we didn’t take them today, another day they go in and we win comfortably.

"We’re making chances, we’re creating chances and continuing to open teams up. If we continue to keep that up the points will come."
