ANDRE Villas-Boas hailed five-star Chelsea after they cruised to victory against Genk at Stamford Bridge.

Fernando Torres' two-goal blast, coupled with strikes from Raul Meireles, Branislav Ivanovic and Salomon Kalou, saw the Blues ease to victory.

“We were happy to score early,” said the Chelsea boss. “Two goals in the first 15 minutes put us in a very comfortable position.

“We showed resilience during a 10-minute spell when they were trying to get back into the game, and then we found the net twice before half-time.

“I am very happy with the performance – not just the way we played but the commitment of the team towards a game everybody expected us to win.”
