ANDRE Villas Boas has admitted he was grilled by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's inner circle following Chelsea's disappointing Champions League defeat at Napoli – but insists it was nothing unusual.

Chelsea are on the brink of being eliminated from this season's competition following Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat in Italy.

But Blues boss Villas Boas has told Abramovich (pictured) he believes the tie is still winnable when Napoli come to Stamford Bridge for the second leg on March 14.

He said: “I have spoken to the people around Roman Abramovich, and of course he is disappointed with results. We all are, but there is still a second leg to play.

“I explained the set up and the team, I explained events in the match and how they happened, it is just the normal communication we have after games.

“But I don't have any regrets involving the team selection. There is still 90 minutes to play, and we strongly believe we can turn the tie around.”
