Ian Holloway is one of the best when it comes to journalist soundbites and he did not disappoint on Wednesday morning.
The Hoops manager was on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Talksport the morning after QPR beat Barnsley 2-1 at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.
And when asked by co-host Ray Parlour if it was difficult to keep a full squad of players happy, Holloway decided to make his feelings known on the Alexis Sanchez situation at Arsenal.
He said: “You shouldn’t have to make them [the players] feel wanted.
“When Alexis Sanchez a couple of weeks ago was brought off, how selfish was he?
"He sat there and put his hood up as if it was the end of the world. Do me a favour, that’s not how you should behave when one of your team-mates comes on for you after you’ve scored two, you selfish pig.
“It’s just not right. How selfish are you? It’s about your team-mates and that’s probably why Arsenal aren’t winning because they might have a little bit of selfishness crept in.
“All the teams in the world might want him, but you have to be a team player. It’s almost impossible to manage players like that.”
