Antonio Conte has suggested he is the 'tailor when it comes to finding the perfect fit for his Chelsea side.

And when someone asked the Blues boss whether that was Armani, he went for another Italian option - Dolce and Gabbana.

You can see it here.

Chelsea equalled a club record amount of wins thanks to Diego Costa’s header against Crystal Palace which temporarily puts them nine points clear with Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool all still to play.

Much has been made of Chelsea’s change in system and Conte believes the formation which has served them so well is effective due to the types of player he has art his disposal.

He said: “The manager must be a tailor.

"To try and find the right fit for your team. For sure it wasn’t easy to arrive and to understand very soon the characteristics of my players and I needed a bit of time.

“I tried a different solution before I arrived with this change of formation but I think the most important thing is the mentality.”

The Italian went on to say that his players deserve huge amounts of credit for the way they have bought into the system and allowed his philosophy to flourish.

Certain players have had to alter their positions in order to maintain a starting berth and Conte has praised the attitude of his players for following his innovative concepts.

He added: “I must be honest, you can bring your idea of football but if you haven’t got the player who will follow you with this idea then it is very difficult for every single manager.

“But I’m very pleased for my players because they are deserving of this, every day I see their commitment and work rate during training, their will to do something this season.”
