It was quite a night to be an AFC Wimbledon fan on Tuesday.

Goals from Jake Reeves and Lyle Taylor secured a historic win and the win the fans craved the most - against MK Dons at Kingsmeadow.

Here we rate the AFC Wimbledon players.

James Shea – The Wimbledon number one was probably expecting to be more involved in the game than he was. Made a couple of good saves, especially in the aftermath of the home team’s second goal, but in truth had little to do. 7

Jon Meades battles with Ben Reeves for possession

Jon Meades – Strong and repelled everything put his way in the air. Got forward effectively when he could. 8

Sean Kelly – Played well. Looked after Andy Barcham on the left after the winger was clattered by Stuart O’Keefe. 7

Paul Robinson – Solid in the centre of defence. Exactly the sort of calm performance you’d expect from your senior players in a high-tension game. 8

Darius Charles – Competent display. 7

Dannie Bulman – You barely notice Bully half the time and that’s the way he likes it. Simple, accurate passing and important interceptions done with deceptive ease. 7

Jake Reeves in action against MK Dons

Jake Reeves – Made the Cherry Red records Stadium erupt in the 61 minute by volleying home his first goal of the season. Busy as always in the centre of the pitch. Quality on and off the ball. 9

Tom Soares – Recovered from an ankle injury in time to start and did what was asked of him. Faded into the background a little in the second half and was substituted. 6

Andy Barcham – Industrious down the left and provided the header for Reeves’ opener. Looked up for the occasion and caused the visitors all sorts of problems with his quick feet. 8

Lyle Taylor – Quiet in the first half but sprung to life in the second 45. Much busier in the box and got his rewards with a fine solo goal to put the Dons 2-0 up. Substituted after 79 minutes. 8

Tom Elliott – The big striker really put himself about, so much so that one early chance saw him land in the seating behind the goal, luckily filled with home fans. Had a number of chances but couldn’t quite make them count but caused the visitors a headache. Substituted in the 90 minute. 8

Subs:

Dean Parrett - Got stuck in straight away and provided some extra defensive qualities on the right once the home side were in the driving seat. 7

Dom Poleon – Horrible miss in the 89th minute. 6

Tyrone Barnett – Not on long enough to make an impact. n/a
