Hampton & Richmond Borough are in the market for a former Football League player – with Sammy Igoe possibly the player in question.

Beavers boss Paul Barry is hoping to sign a winger/full-back from a Conference South club in time for Saturday's Ryman Premier game at Harrow Borough.

The mystery man is playing for a club in the FA Trophy semi finals – with Havant & Waterlooville and Gosport Borough the two Conference South sides in the last four – and Igoe fits the bill.

The 38 year old, who is from just down the road in Staines, made more than 450 Football League appearances for the likes of Portsmouth, Swindon, Reading, Millwall, Bournemouth and Bristol Rovers.

Barry said: “There will possibly be one more signing, which just came up last week. It would be a dual registration signing, and depends on him not being needed for his club's FA Trophy semi final second leg.”
