AFC Hayes went out of the Southern League GX Cup last night (Tuesday) with a 4-2 home defeat against in form Chesham United.

Chesham went ahead after only eight minutes through Darrell Cox but Hayes were soon back on level terms when Osubu netted.

The visitors then took control as Steve Cawley and Phil Turner put them 3-1 up before a 60th minute effort from Chakaodza gave AFC hope of getting back into the tie.

However, a 75th minute goal from Turner clinched the 4-2 win for Chesham on a bitterly cold night and in front of just 68 die hard spectators.
